OSV: Our journey to Bern
At the end of June, the classes 2a and 2b OSV took a two-days-trip to Bern. On Monday we went to Buchs and took the train to Bern. First we had to walk to our hostel. It was all new. All of the rooms had a shower and a toilet. The beds were very comfortable.
There we had half an hour to eat something. After that the two classes were split up – one group visited the zoo “Dählihölzli” and the other group got a guided tour to the House of Parliament.
The group at the zoo was surprised to see two bears making love in front of the visitors.
In the evening we went to an Italian restaurant. There we ate Pizza and Pasta. It was delicious. Before we returned to the hostel, we went to the public viewing to watch the game Spain – Morocco.
At the second day we had to get up at 7.30h. That was too early for some of the studentsJ. After a great breakfast we had to clean up our rooms.
Then we went to the “Zytglogge Turm” and visited the old town of Bern. We climbed up the tower of the Bern Minster. It is the highest church tower of Switzerland – 100 meters. Some of us were very scared to walk 60 meters above the ground. After that we walked to the “Bärengraben”.
We split up in two groups again. One group went shopping and the other group was allowed to go swimming in the river Aare at a public swimming area. It was very cool and extremely cold.
After one hour we had to leave and went to the train station.
The two days were stressful but also very cool and exciting.
